Who can use GuardianX
- Parents or legal guardians managing a device they own and provide to their child.
- Employers managing company-owned devices, or personal devices formally enrolled under a documented BYOD policy.
- Organizations with a clear legal basis for monitoring (parental responsibility, employment contract, or applicable workplace regulation).
What we require from every customer
- Ownership or formal administrative authority over each enrolled device.
- Clear, upfront notice to the device holder before or at installation.
- A documented legal basis appropriate to the relationship (parental or employment).
- Data minimization — only collect what the policy actually requires.
- Defined retention periods and the ability to delete data on request.
- The ability for the device holder or an administrator to uninstall or revoke access at any time.
What is not permitted
GuardianX is built to support legitimate and secure management. To ensure privacy and compliance, the platform should only be deployed on devices you are legally authorized to manage, and should not be used for undisclosed tracking or credential gathering. Specifically prohibited:
- Installing GuardianX on a device you do not own or are not formally authorized to administer.
- Monitoring a spouse, partner, or any adult without their knowledge and a valid legal basis.
- Capturing passwords, payment credentials, or other authentication secrets.
- Using GuardianX to intimidate, control, or restrict a person's freedom outside a legitimate parenting or employment context.
- Concealing the presence of GuardianX from the device holder where notice is legally or contractually required.
